Next general election important for democracy: Nasim

SERAJGANJ, Dec 7, 2017 (BSS) - Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim today said that the next general election is very important for flourishing democratic process in the country.

"All pro-liberation forces should remain alert to resist any conspiracy for foiling next general poll," he told a public rally here.

LGRD and Cooperative Minister Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, Prof Dr Habibe Millat Munna, MP, MM Amjad Hossain Milon, MP, Tanvir Imam MP, Hasibur Rahman Swapan, MP, Selina Begum Swapna, MP, among others, addressed the meeting with President of Serajganj district unit of Awami League Abdul Latif Biswas in the chair.

Nasim said democratic process will be hampered, if anti-liberation forces will come in power. So, the people should prevent any ill motive for the sake of democracy as well as well-being of the people, he added.

Mosharraf said, "Awami League is doing politics for the people's well- being.....the fate of the people is getting a change as Awami League is in power."

He urged people to extend their supports to the government for continuation of the country's development process.
