Information secretary joins video conf with women

DHAKA, Sep 13, 2017(BSS) - Information Secretary Mortuza Ahmed today participated in a live video conference with women of Khulna.

He was speaking as chief guest at a two-hour long video-conference with women of Khulna.

In the conference local women described how they had become empowered by different programs of the government.

The secretary described how the country established by Bangabandhu was being progressively taken ahead by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina through Vision 2021-2041. And that women's empowerment was an important part of the 10 initiatives that formed the core of the Vision, he added.

The program was held at the Deputy Commissioner's office at Khulna.

From Dhaka the conference was attended by the heads of departments under the information ministry including Abul Kalam Azad, Chief Editor and Managing Director of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS).

The program was broadcast live on Bangladesh Betar and its Facebook account, audio-visually.
