Outgoing Afghan envoy calls on President

DHAKA, June 19, 2017 (BSS) - Afghan Ambassador to Bangladesh Abdul Rahim Oraz made a farewell call on President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban here this afternoon.

During the meeting, the envoy expressed gratitude to the President for extending cooperation to him in discharging his duties in Bangladesh, President's Press Secretary Md Joynal Abedin told BSS.

President Hamid said Bangladesh gives importance to enhancing its relations with brotherly countries like Afghanistan.

He also said Afghanistan is a Muslim brotherly country of Bangladesh and the existing relations between the two countries are excellent now.

The President thanked the Afghan envoy for discharging his duties here successfully.
