Bangladesh, India pledge to save mangrove forest in Sundarbans

DHAKA, Dec 9, 2015 (BSS) - Bangladesh and India pledged to work together for the preservation of world's largest mangrove forest in "The Sunderbans" and protect the endangered Royal Bengal Tigers there.

The Sunderbans is situated between the two neighboring countries.

Bangladesh Environment and Forests Minister Anwar Hossain Manju and his Indian counterpart Prakash Javadekar yesterday said this in a meeting in Paris, said a press release here today.

The two ministers stressed on working together in climate change issue also.
