JS body on land meets

DHAKA, Dec 9, 2015 (BSS) - The 17th meeting of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Land Ministry was held at the Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Bhaban here today with committee chairman M Rezaul Karim Hira presiding.

Committee members Land Minister Shamsur Rahman Sherif, M Mokbul Hossain, Shamsul Alam Dudu, AKM Maidul Islam and Gazi MM Amzad Hossain Milon attended the meeting, said an official press release.

The committee recommended formation of a committee to visit tea gardens of the country and submission of a report within three months. It suggested taking steps against those who took lease of government lands unlawfully.

Acting Secretary of Land Ministry and other senior officials concerned were present at the meeting.
