MoU signed to promote scientific innovations

DHAKA, Dec 09, 2015 (BSS) - A Memorandum of Understanding(MoU) was signed between Access to Information(a2i) programme of Prime Minister's Office(PMO) and seven agencies under the Science and Technology Ministry here today to promote scientific innovations.

The MoU was signed at a function at the PMO as part of massive campaign for ensuring smooth public services, a spokeswoman of the a2i programme told BSS.

Project Director of the a2i programme Kabir Bin Anwar and heads of the seven organizations under the Science and Technology on behalf of respective sides signed the MOU.

Science and Technology Minister Architect Yafesh Osman, Principal Secretary of PMO Abul Kalam Azad, Secretary-in-charge of Science and Technology Md Sirajul Haque Khan, senior officials of the ministry and the a2i programme, among others, were present at the function.

Under the MoU, necessary changes will be brought in the innovation practices in the country, which will encourage innovators to develop citizen-centric innovations.

The MoU will bring all stakeholders of innovation development field under an umbrella.
