Govt plans to divide BR in four zones: PM
DHAKA, Oct 23, 2014 (BSS) - Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today said considering geographical condition and needs of the people of the country Bangladesh Railway (BR) will be divided into four zones for development of the rail sector. She said the eastern and western zones of Bangladesh Railway were constituted during British era considering the needs of that time. So the railway would be demarcated as north, south, east and western zones for development of the sector and services.
