Take advantage of liberal investment policy: PM
DHAKA, Sept 17, 2014 (BSS)- Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today urged foreign investors to take advantage of the very liberal and favourable regulatory regime, skilled workforce and strategic location of Bangladesh to expand their businesses. "The government of Bangladesh is committed to stay on its upward course to attract FDI and maintain investment friendly environment for our economic development," she said. The Prime Minister was inaugurating International Investment Forum-2014, organized by the Board of Investment (BoI) at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel here today. DHAKA, Sept 17, 2014 (BSS) - Eminent citizens today expressed frustration as the Supreme Court commuted death penalty of war crime convict Jamaat-e-Islami leader Maulana Delwar Hossain Sayedee to imprisonment for rest of his life. They, however, said that they are respectful to the verdict of the apex court. After the pronouncement of the verdict, Attorney General Mahbub-e Alam said the Supreme Court has partially granted the appeals of the government and Maulana Sayedee. He said he had a hope that the top court would uphold the death sentence of Sayedee.
