Govt. eyes to reduce poverty below 10 percent in five years: PM
DHAKA, Nov 29, 2014 (BSS)-Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina yesterday said her government focused on reducing country's poverty rate below 10 percent during its current five-year tenure. Addressing a meeting of Awami League Central Working Committee at Gonobhaban, she said the BNP leader should prove herself in the court of law that she didn't eat up the fund of orphans. Sheikh Hasina said SAARC leaders in their just concluded summit highly appreciated Bangladesh's progress in various sector.
