Sheikh Hasina symbol of progressive global leader: Unicef ED
LONDON, July 22, 2014 (BSS) - UNICEF Executive Director Anthony Lake described Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina as the symbol of liberal progressive global leader and highly appreciated her for her government steps to protect child rights. "You are the symbol of liberal progressive global leader and your government's steps to protect child rights, especially the girl child are praiseworthy," she said. The UNICEF executive director said this when he called on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on the sidelines of the first-ever Girl Summit at the Walworth Academy here. LONDON, July 22, 2014 (BSS) - The United Kingdom government today pledged to work together with the present Bangladesh government and said its (UK) assistance in Bangladesh would continue.
