As an expanding news agency, BSS has multi-dimensional plans of development, starting from increasing client network to opening bureaus locally and internationally. BSS is planning to open bureaus in Khulna, Barisal and Rangpur very shortly in addition to existing ones in chittagong, Rajshahi and Sylhet.  

It plans to strengthen Rural News Network through establishing fax / e-mail connection between 64 districts of Bangladesh and BSS office at Dhaka. The national news agency will link up with the newspapers and magazines being brought out by expatriate Bangladeshi, especially with those living in northeast America and UK.  

The agency has a human rights desk which has independent financial and manpower support with the assistance of Danish embassy in Bangladesh. The desk dedicates itself to disseminating news items on human rights and gender issues.  

BSS is introducing Financial Information Service shortly. The management is working to organize a photo service for its clients. The service is expected to be launched within a few months.  

To gather news independently from different important places of the globe BSS has also plans to set up bureaus in London, New York, Washington, Kualalampur and Islamabad. It has already a bureau in New Delhi.
