Met office forecasts dry weather

DHAKA, Oct 4, 2018 (BSS) – Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today
predicted dry weather with temporary party cloudy sky at most places across
the country in next 24 hours ending at 9 am tomorrow.

The Met office also forecasted that some place across the country may
witness light to moderate rain during the time.

“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty
wind is likely to occur at one or two places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka,
Mymensingh, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions. Weather may remain mainly dry
with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country,” said a met
office press release issued here this morning.

Moreover, day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the
country, the release said.

Maximum temperature was recorded 36.7 degrees Celsius yesterday at
Jashore in Khulna division while today’s minimum temperature was recorded
23.4 degrees Celsius at Tetulia in Rangpur division.

The highest rainfall during last 24 hours as of 6 am today was recorded 41
mm at Nikli in Dhaka division.

The sun sets at 5:43 pm today and rises at 5:52 am tomorrow in the capital.
