DHAKA, Dec 13, 2017 (BSS) – Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan today said actions will be taken against the family members of Akaid Ullah, who is allegedly involved in the New York blast, if their link to militancy is found.
“We will take legal actions if any involvement of Akaid Ullah’s family in militancy is found,” he said, replying to a query from reporters after coming out of a meeting at his Secretariat office here.
“Akaid has been living in the USA since 2011 as he is the citizen of that country. Their law enforcement agencies are now conducting investigation into the attack. We, too, are quizzing his (Akaid’s) family members to confirm whether they have any link to militancy,” he added.
Replying to another question, the minister said, “We have taken all possible measures to bring back the fugitive killers of the intellectuals during the War of Liberation and Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.”
