Thai ambassador pays farewell call on President

DHAKA, Oct 1, 2018 (BSS) – President M Abdul Hamid today hoped that the existing excellent bilateral trade and investment relations with Thailand would continue and be strengthened in the days to come.

” The relations between the two friendly countries are widening day by day after the independence of Bangladesh in 1971,” the president said while lauding the role of Thailand in different socio-cultural sectors .

President Hamid was talking Thai outgoing ambassador to Bangladesh Panpimon Suwannapongse when she paid a farewell call on him at Bangabhaban this afternoon.

The head of the state also expressed his satisfaction over the performance of the ambassador during her assignment in Bangladesh. ,” President’s Press Secretary Joynal Abedin told BSS.

Panpimon thanked the President and the people of Bangladesh for providing all-out cooperation during her tenure in Bangladesh.

Praising rapid progress of Bangladesh in its different socio-economic sectors, the outgoing envoy said Thailand always gives importance to its relations with Bangladesh.

She said she would continue to work for further improvement of the existing bilateral relations.
