Eng. Mosarraf for re-electing present govt to sustain development

MIRSHARAI, Chattogram, Sept 29, 2018 (BSS) – Housing and Public Works Minister Engineer Mosarraf Hossain today said the present government should be re-elected in the upcoming national election for continuation of the country’s ongoing development spree.

“The country has moved towards unprecedented development. A total of 70 lakh people were included in different social safety net programmes like allowances for freedom fighters, widows and students,” he said, addressing different street rallies here.

Chattogram North unit of Awami League organized the street rallies as part of a campaign programme to project the government’s development activities before the grassroots people, said an official release here.

The country is moving towards economic prosperity, Mosarraf said, adding that per capita income of the country has increased to $1,752.

Referring to different development projects implemented under the present government, the minister said there is no alternative to Awami League to ensure development of the country.

Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Railways ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury, Chattogram Zila Parishad Chairman MA Salam and Joint Secretaries of Chattogram North unit of Awami League Md Zasim Uddin and Younus Khan Chowdhury were present on the occasion, among others.
