JU Public Admin Dept holds fresher, farewell reception
SAVAR, Sept 29, 2018 (BSS)- Public Administration Department of Jahangirnagar University (JU) has accorded a reception welcoming its first year students under 47th batch and bidding farewell to master’s students under 42nd batch on the campus here.
Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque addressed the function as the chief guest at seminar room of Jahir Raihan auditorium on Thursday night, said a press release here today.
The minister urged the university students to play a vital role in fulfilling the demand of the nation and to groom themselves to this end.
He welcomed the newly enrolled students and wished success of the outgoing students in their professional life.
JU Pro Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Nurul Alam, Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) Pro Vice-Chancellor and founder Chairman of JU Public Administration Department Professor Dr M Abul Kashem Mazumder and JU Social Sciences Faculty Dean (in-charge) Professor Dr Rasheda Akhter addressed the function as special gusts.
Chairman of JU Public Administration Department Associate Professor Dr Zebunnessa presided over the function.
Later a cultural function was held at the same venue.
