Int’l Conference on Ecological Risk Management begins
DHAKA, Sept 28, 2018 (BSS) – A two-day China, South and Southeast Asian
Conference on ‘Environmental and Ecological Risk Management’ began at Dhaka
University (DU) today.
The Faculty of Earth and Environmental Sciences, the Confucius Institute of DU
and Yunnan University, China jointly organized the event at Nabab Nawab Ali
Chowdhury Senate Bhaban Auditorium.
DU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman inaugurated the conference as the
chief guest. Dean of the Faculty of Earth and Environmental Sciences Prof. Dr. ASM
Maksud Kamal presided over function while Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic) Prof. Dr.
Nasreen Ahmad spoke it as special guest.
Dean of the Institute of International Rivers and Eco-security of Yunnan
University, China Prof. Dr. HU Jinming and other foreign delegates also spoke.
Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman called for undertaking joint collaborative academic and
research programs on Environmental and Ecological Risk Management by the regional
and international experts.
