CHATTOGRAM, Sept 25, 2018 (BSS) – Five persons were killed and two
others injured as a truck hit a crowd beside Dhaka-Chattogram Highway in
Thakurdighi area under Mirsharai upazila here this morning.
The deceased were identified as truck driver Shah Alam, 40, auto-
rickshaw driver Didarul Alam, 35, Kamrul, 45, Mosharaf, 26, and CNG-driven
auto-rickshaw passenger Mohiuddin, 60.
A Dhaka-bound truck losing its control over the steering hit a crowd of
auto rickshaw drivers and passengers while they were standing at an auto
rickshaw stand, leaving five people dead on the spot around 7 am, said Md
Jasim Uddin, deputy-assistant director of Agrabad Fire Station.
Injured – Liton, 25 and Sohel,22, were admitted to Jorargong upazila
health complex.
