Govt’s priority is making digital devices available: Palak

DHAKA, Sept 24, 2018 (BSS) – Launching Motorola’s new handsets with bundle offer of Robi, State Minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak today reiterated the necessity of digital devices to materialize the digital Bangladesh campaign successfully.

“We need digital devices to implement the vision of Digital Bangladesh and government’s one of the main objectives is to make quality digital devices available at a reasonable price,” he added.

Palak also termed the re-entry of Motorola into Bangladesh Market as the good news for the country.

Mobile phone operator Robi in partnership with Motorola lunched new handset in Bangladesh in a ceremony in a city hotel.

Mentioning that Robi has already created 4.5G network across the country, the state minister said: “I am sure with the combination of Robi’s 4.5G network and the new Motorola handsets, internet use will increase drastically in Bangladesh.”

Motorola has launched the latest Moto E4 Plus, Moto E5 and Moto E5 Plus in Bangladesh market in partnership with Robi.

Motorola has launched their handset in Bangladesh after 10 years. All these exciting handsets from Motorola will be exclusively available on robishop. Smart Technologies BD Ltd. has brought the Motorola brand in Bangladesh as the national distributor of the Moto devices.

Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) Director General (Spectrum Management) Brig. Gen Nasim Parvez was present as special guest.

Robi’s Managing Director and CEO, Mahtab Uddin Ahmed, Chief Digital Services Officer, Shihab Ahmad and Smart Technologies BD Ltd’s Chairman Mazharul Islam, Group Director M Zafor Ahmed and Director Shakib Arafat were present on the occasion.

The Motorola Moto E4 Plus, Moto E5 and Moto E5 Plus are priced at Taka 11,990, Taka 14,990 and Taka 19,990 respectively.

In addition, the customers can enjoy 100% bonus data volume upon purchasing any existing data pack above Taka 100 within nine months of purchasing any of these handsets.
