BHOLA, Dec 10, 2017 (BSS) – Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan yesterday said the members of law enforcement agencies have been working relentlessly to curb terrorism and militancy in the country.

“Members of law enforcement agencies are taking life risk to eliminate militancy. That is why they gained the trust of people,” he told a public rally at Chaurasta of Lalmohon upazila bazaar in the district.

Local lawmaker (Bhola-3) Nurunnabi Chowdhury Shaon chaired the function while Lalmohon upazila parishad chairman Giasuddin Ahmed, municipality mayor Emdadul Islam Tuhin, Upazila Awami League general secretary Ali Reza Miah and Poura Awami League president Fakrul Alam Hawladar addressed it, among others.

The minister said there is no alternative to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for the development of the country.

“Sheikh Hasina herself is her alternative. In 2008, she pledged to make a qualitative change in the country and she did that,” he added.

Asaduzzaman said under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the government has made a huge development in every sector including education, health, women empowerment, electricity generation and information technology.

Earlier, the home minister inaugurated a newly constructed building at Lalmohon police station.
