DHAKA, Sept 23, 2018 (BSS) – A five-member delegation led by Professor Dr
Ma Chunlin, Chairman of Liaocheng University, China called on Dhaka
University (DU) Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman today at the
latter’s office on the campus.
Other team members from the Liaocheng University were Dean of the School
of Education Science Prof. Yuanming Yu, Executive Director of School of
Pharmacy Prof. Dr. Renmin Liu, Director of Research Center Prof. Dr. Murad
and Director of International Program Office Yanting Song.
During the meeting, they discussed matters of mutual interest specially
the possibilities of undertaking joint collaborative academic and research
programmes by the University of Dhaka and Liaocheng University, China.
Exchanges of teachers and students between the two universities were also
discussed in the meeting.
The Liaocheng University Chairman expressed his willingness to provide
scholarship to DU students for higher study in China.
DU VC said an excellent friendly relation between Bangladesh and China
has been prevailing for a long time. He apprised the guests of a brief
history of Dhaka University as well as its academic and research activities.
Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy of DU Prof. Dr. SM Abdur Rahman and some
other faculty members were present on this occasion.
