DHAKA, Sept 23, 2018 (BSS) – Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain today said
in this era of information technology, it is impossible to raise an efficient
administration without trained human resource.

“There is no alternative to timely and subject-oriented training to
achieve efficiency,” the chief justice said.

He came up with observations while addressing a function held for
awarding certificates among Supreme Court staffs, who took part in a training
course titled “Legal and ICT Training for Capacity Development of Supreme
Court Staffs for Efficient Case Management.”

Presided over by Justice Muhammad Imman Ali of Appellate Division, the
function was conducted by Appellate Division Registrar Md Badrul Alam
Bhuiyan, and was addressed by Supreme Court Registrar General Md Zakir
Hossain and UNDP country director Sudipto Mukerjee, among others.

A total of 60 staffs of the apex court took part in the training.

Lauding the organizers for arranging such an event, the chief justice
said, “The trainees took part in the training with much sincerity. The
training module was also updated. The trainees will be able to learn code of
conduct, office discipline and complex rules of the Appellate Division.”

“The type of knowledge that the trainees gained on ICT is appreciable. I
believe this training would expand their idea about IT and make it
multidimensional. The quality of the office work will also go up,” Chief
Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain added.

Justice Muhammad Imman Ali said there is no alternative to training in
achieving efficiency.

“The trainees will have to apply the knowledge that they gained from this
training in their work place. Education does not go in vain. Once we couldn’t
even imagine of e-judiciary. But now it is reality,” he further said.
