DHAKA, Sept 23, 2018(BSS)-Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu, MP, said
Dr Kamal Hossain had volunteered to be a shield for criminals.

“Through his advocacy for convicted criminals his real face had been
exposed,” Inu said.

Kamal’s demand for dissolution of parliament, formation of a non-
partisan caretaker government and resignation of Sheikh Hasina were in
essence a demand to “ditch democracy, Inu said.

The minister was speaking to journalists at the Circuit House before
leaving on a trip to distribute awards in educational institutions, including
madrasas in Mirpur upazila.

Inu elaborated on his theme and said that by asking for the release of
Khaleda Zia, Kamal, was essentially showing a “fig” to the rule of law and
said “the nation and government would not tolerate it.”

The minister said using the pretext of a safe nation Kamal and Co. was
undermining democracy and the country’s judiciary.
