Dry weather likely until tomorrow morning

DHAKA, Sept 23, 2018 (BSS) – Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD)
today predicted dry weather with temporary party cloudy sky, also having a
chance of light to moderate rain at some places across the country in 24
hours ending at 9 am tomorrow.

“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty
wind is likely to occur at a few places in Chattogram and Sylhet divisions
and at one or two places in Rangpur, Mymensingh, Dhaka and Barishal
divisions. Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky
elsewhere over the country,” said a met office press release issued here this
morning.

The met office also predicted moderately heavy falls at some places in
eastern parts of the country.

Day and night temperature may rise slightly over the country during the
period, the release said.

The country’s maximum temperature was recorded 34.5 degrees Celsius
yesterday at Rangamati and Feni in Chattogram division and Srimangal in
Sylhet division while today’s minimum temperature 24.8 degrees Celsius at
Rangamati and Tetulia in Chattogram and Rangpur divisions respectively.

The sun sets at 5:54 pm today and rises at 5:48 am tomorrow in the
capital.
