ISHWARDI, Pabna, Sept 22, 2018 (BSS) – Land Minister Shamshur Rahman Sherif today urged the people to cast their votes in favour of ‘Boat’, the election symbol of Awami League, in the next Jatiya Sangsad (JS) election to continue the current pace of development.
“The country witnessed huge development in every sector under the present government. AL should be voted to power again for continuation of the trend,” he told a boat race competition in Padma River at Nilkuthi Kachari-bari under Laxmikunda union of the district.
The Bangalee nation, he said, had achieved victory in every struggle from the language movement of 1952 under the leadership of Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman till 1971.
“We can build a better Bangladesh under the dynamic leadership of Bangabandhu’s daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina if AL is voted to power again,” he added.
Pabna Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education) Saheed Parvez, Ishwardi Upazila Chairman Mokhlesur Rahman Mintu, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Al Mamun, AL Ishwardi Upazila Acting President Naib Ali Bishwash and former Additional Secretary of the Expatriate Government Sabbir Ahmed, among others, were present on the occasion.
Ishwardi Union Parshad Chairman Nazrul Islam presided over it.
