CHATTOGRAM, Sept 22, 2018 (BSS) – Two persons including a minor girl were
killed and another was injured in two separate road accidents in the district
last night and today.
In the first incident, a goods-laden truck hit minor girl Priya Begum, 4,
and her mother Rupali Begum in Kadamrasul area on the Dhaka-Chattogram
highway under Sitakundu upazila around 10.45 pm last night, said Ashan Habib,
Officer-in-Charge (OC), of Highway thana, police.
The injured girl and her mother were taken to Chattogram Medical College
Hospital (CMCH) where the attending doctors declared Priya dead.
In another accident, an unidentified pedestrian aged about 40 received
head injury as a Chattogram-bound bus hit him from behind in Chowmohuni area
under Anwara upazila at 3 pm today.
He was taken to CMCH where on duty doctors declared him dead, police said.
