DHAKA, Sept 22, 2018 (BSS) – Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) panel
mayor Osman Gani died of lung cancer at a Singapore hospital this morning,
DNCC sources said.
He was 69.
Gani, also president of Badda Thana Awami League in Dhaka, is survived by
his wife, four sons, relatives and a host of admirers.
His body will be flown to Dhaka by a Singapore airlines flight at 11.40am
tomorrow.
LGRD and Cooperatives Minister Khandker Mosharaf Hossain and Dhaka South
City Corporation (DSCC) Mayor Sayeed Khokon expressed profound shock at the
death of the DNCC panel mayor.
In separate condolence messages, they prayed for eternal peace of the
departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family members.
