Signal No. 3 for maritime ports

DHAKA, Sept 21, 2018 (BSS) – The cyclonic storm ‘daye’ over south Odisha &
adjoining area moved slightly west-northwestwards and weakened into a deep
depression over the same area at 6 am today.

It is likely to move in a west-northwestly direction further inland and
weaken gradually. Under its influence steep pressure gradient persists over
north bay and adjoining area, said a special weather bulletin here today.

The maritime ports of Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been
advised to keep hoisted local cautionary signal no. three (r) three.

Squally weather is likely to affect the maritime ports, north bay and
adjoining coastal areas of Bangladesh.

All fishing boats and trawlers over north bay have been advised to remain
close to the coast and proceed with caution till further notice.
