DHAKA, Sept 20, 2018 (BSS)- A high-powered business delegation of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) left Dhaka today for the USA to attend the 73rd UN General Assembly as entourage of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
President of FBCCI Md. Shafiul Islam is leading the business delegation, said a FBCCI media release.
Apart from attending the General Assembly the FBCCI Business Delegation will join various programs to be held there.
The FBCCI leaders will attend the ‘Community Reception in honor of the Prime Minister of Bangladesh’ organized by NRB Worldwide Inc. on September 23. The business leaders will participate in a seminar on “Investment Opportunities in Bangladesh’ organized by NRB Worldwide Inc on the same day.
The FBCCI delegation will take part in an ‘Executive Roundtable: Bangladesh of the Future’ in honor of Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’ organized by US Chamber of Commerce on September 24.
They will also attend the ‘US-Bangladesh Business Summit’ organized by US-Bangladesh Global Chamber of Commerce (USBGCC) on the same day.
On September 25, FBCCI leaders will attend a program on ‘Cyber Security’ organized by the Permanent Mission of Bangladesh.
The FBCCI leaders will also join the ‘World Conference Series 2018: Come and Build Your Motherland’ organized by the Centre for Non Resident Bangladeshi (NRB).

Masudur Rahman Milon, Rashadul Hossain Chowdhury (Ronni), Mohammed Riyadh Ali, Shomi Kaiser, Priti Chakraborty, Dr. Mohammed Faruque, Salahuddin Alamgir, Samiul Haque Shafa and Sujib Ranjan Dash.
Besides, Tipu Munshi, MP, Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee of Home Affairs, Nihad Kabir, President of Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Selima Ahmad, President of Bangladesh Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry also joined the FBCCI delegation.
The delegation is expected to return home on September 28.
