JS passes Bangladesh Employees Welfare Board Bill, 2018
SANGSAD BHABAN, Sept 18, 2018 (BSS) – The ‘Bangladesh Employees
Welfare Board Bill, 2018’ was passed in the parliament in an amended form
which was earlier recommended by the parliamentary standing committee.
On behalf of Public Administration Minister Syed Ashraful Islam, State
Minister Ismat Ara Sadeque today moved the bill which was unanimously
passed in voice votes with Deputy Speaker Fazley Rabbi Mia in the chair.
Piloting the bill, the state minister said the proposed law will be an amendment
of the Bangladesh Employees Welfare Board Act, 2004.
Earlier, the bill was sent to the parliamentary standing committee on July 9 in
2018. The bill was examined by the parliamentary standing committee on
August 5.
