AL leader Mahbub Jaman Bhulu passes away

RAJSHAHI, Sept 18, 2018 (BSS)- Mahbub Jaman Bhulu, a valiant Freedom Fighter, Awami League leader and former administrator of Rajshahi Zilla Parishad, died of cardiac arrest at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital here today.

He was 70.

Bhulu, former Rajshahi City unit president of Awami League, is survived by brothers, sisters and a host of relatives and admirers.

From his student life, Bhulu was involved in Awami League politics. He was an active member and leader of Chhatra League, Juba League and Awami League.

Currently, he was a member of National Committee of Bangladesh Awami League.

According to family sources, Mahbub Zaman Bhulu felt sick at Rajshahi Airport when he reached here from Dhaka by an US-Bangla flight around 3.45 pm.

He was immediately rushed to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital where the attending doctors declared him dead.

Mayor of Rajshahi AHM Khairuzzaman Liton, in a condolence message, expressed his deep shock at the death of Mahbub Jaman Bhulu.

He also prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed sympathy to the bereaved family.

Besides, scores of political leaders and personalities condoled the death of Bhulu.
