Grassroots people enjoy development schemes facilities: Shahriar

RAJSHAHI, Sept 17, 2018 (BSS)- State Minister for Foreign Affairs
Shahriar Alam, MP, has said the grassroots people are enjoying facilities of
development schemes being implemented in every nook and corner of rural
areas.

He said the present government under the dynamic leadership of Prime
Minister Sheikh Hasina has been working relentlessly to reach developments to
the doorsteps of grassroots people.

The state minister was addressing a public meeting on the inauguration
of a four-storied academic building of Alaipur High School under Bagha
Upazila in the district yesterday as chief guest. Education Engineering
Department has constructed the building at a cost of around Taka 70 lakh.

State Minister Shahriar said Awami League government always believes in
politics of development and people’s welfare. The government is committed to
improve living and livelihood condition of both rural and urban areas through
ensuring requisite infrastructure development.

He added Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has started a journey towards
development highway accompanied by people and none can stop the journey.

Shahriar Alam said the present government has been implementing various
projects for welfare of the people. He urged the people to keep their
confidence and trust in the present government so that it can work for
welfare of those in the days ahead.

Mentioning Awami League only represents the people of Bangladesh, Alam
said the party has brought the nation’s independence through a long struggle
led by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and it will
bring economic emancipation of the people as well.

The state minister said Bangladesh witnesses real development when Awami
League comes to power. Over the last nine and a half years, the present
government has pulled five crore people out of extreme poverty, making the
country a role model of development abroad.

Bangladesh would be economically self-reliant if Awami League remains in
power, he also added.

Mr Alam called upon the people to vote for Awami League in next national
election to continue the pace of country’s development.
