Ibrahim Mahudee Hossain, who played for the first time in the SAFF Championship, said: “I feel very happy today because we have able to win the trophy for the nation.”
On the other hand, India U-23 football team head coach Stephen Constantine said the boys showed lack of experience today that resulted the day’s defeat against the Maldives.
However he was not disappointed the day’s result because the boys gathered experience from this level of tournament.
“I don’t think that we are disappointed with the result ….. it was the learning experience for the boys from this tournament.” he said.
Stephen said most of the players of his team don’t have experience to play such kind of big level tournament … they would take lesson from this tournament and as they would lead this national team after seven to eight years.
