Korea win 1st gold in Asian Archery Championships

DHAKA, Nov 28, 2017 (BSS)- South Korea won the first archery gold medal of the 20th Asian Archery Championship beating India by 157-153 points in the compound mixed team event final held on Tuesday at Bangabandhu National Stadium.

South Korean archers Kim Jongo and So Cheon beat their India rivals Joti Surekha and Avishek Barman to win the compound mixed team event final.

Besides, Akbar Ali Karabayev and Makarchuk Diwana of Kazakhstan beat Chin Lu Ju and Pan U Pinke of Chinese Taipei 155-151 points to secured bronze medal in this event.

A total of 33 countries are competing for the 10 gold medals in the championships.

South Korea showed their supremacy in the last year’s championship.
