RAJSHAHI, Sept 12, 2018 (BSS) – A youth was sentenced to life-term imprisonment for raping a challenged minor girl in Natore 10 years back.
The convict was identified as Alal Uddin, 28, son of late Saidullah of Jangli Mondalpara area under Natore Sadar upazila.
Judge of Tribunal against Women and Children Repression Mainul Haque handed down the verdict and also fined him Taka 50,000.
The prosecution story, in brief, is that the accused Alal raped his neighbour physically challenged girl on September 2, 2008.
Father of the victim lodged a case with Sadar Police Station on the same day.
Upon completion of investigation police pressed charges accusing Alal Uddin.
