Light to moderate rain likely over country

DHAKA, Sept 12, 2018 (BSS) – Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD)
today predicted light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by
temporary gusty wind at some places over the country in next 24 hours as of 9
am tomorrow.

“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty
wind is likely to occur at most places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chattogram
and Sylhet divisions and at many places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna and
Barisal divisions with moderate to very heavy falls at places over northern
part of Bangladesh in the next 24 hours commencing from 9 am today,” a Met
office press release said.

Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country
during the period.

The country’s maximum temperature was recorded 34.0 degrees Celsius
yesterday in Dhaka while today’s minimum temperature 23.0 degrees Celsius at
Rangamati in Chattogram division.

The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours as of 6 am today was recorded 139
mm at Rangamati in Chattogram division.

The sun sets at 6:06 pm today and rises at 5:44 am tomorrow in the capital.
