DHAKA, Sept 11, 2018 (BSS) – Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) predicts light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind at some places over the country in next 24 hours as of 9 am tomorrow.
“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places in Rangpur division, at many places in Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and at a few places in Khulna, Barisal and Chattogram divisions with moderately heavy to very heavy falls at some places in northern part of the country until early tomorrow,” said a met office press release issued here this morning.
Day temperature may fall slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country during the period, it added.
The country’s maximum temperature was recorded 35.4 degrees Celsius yesterday at Jashore in Khulna while today’s minimum temperature 23.5 degrees Celsius at Sayedpur in Rangpur division.
The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours as of 6 am today was recorded 117 mm at Sayedpur in Rangpur division.
The sun sets at 6:07 pm today and rises at 5:44 am tomorrow in the capital.
