Bangladesh Freedom Fighters Welfare Trust Bill, 2018 places in JS
SANGSAD BHABAN, Sept 10, 2018 (BSS) – Bangladesh Freedom Fighters
Welfare Trust Bill, 2018 was placed today in the Jatiya Sangsad with a view to
ensure welfare of the freedom fighters.
Liberation Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haq today placed the bill in the
House with Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury in the chair.
Placing the bill, the minister said the proposed bill will be enacted annulling the
existing the Bangladesh (Freedom Fighters )Welfare Trust Order, 1972
(President’s Order 94 of 1972).
The proposed act will ensure all the freedom fighters to get the honorium, he
said, adding that but the earlier ordinance had no scope to this end.
The minister urged the House to send the bill to the parliamentary standing
committee for providing report within five days.
