PSC exams being held peacefully in Gaibandha

GAIBANDHA, Nov 23, 2017 (BSS) – Primary Education Completion known as PSC (Primary School Certificate) Exams-2017 are being held in all the seven upazilas of the district peacefully.

Assistant district primary education officer M. Asaduzzaman Chowdhury said a total of 49,859 candidates are appearing in the exams through 93 centres of the district.

In addition, some 5797 students from the madrashas here are also taking part in the Ebtedayee Education Completion Exams (EECE)-2017 in the district this year, he also said.

The exams would continue till November 26 which began on November 19 , he added.

A number of vigilant teams were also formed Comprising district level officials to hold the exams fairly and peacefully, he further added.

Acting deputy commissioner Muhammad Mizanur Rahman, district primary education officer (DPEO) M. Aminul Islam Mondal, UNOs and other officials visited the examination centres separately and expressed their satisfaction over the environment of the centres.

M. Aminul Islam Mondal sought whole hearted cooperation of all the students and their guardians, education officials and teachers concerned to hold the exams peacefully across the district.

In reply to a query, the DPEO said the results of the exams might be published on December 27-29 this year.
