Fake note making factory unearthed in C’nawabganj
CHAPAINAWABGANJ, Sept 8, 2018 (BSS)- Members of the elite force Rapid
Action Battalion (RAB) unearthed a fake note printing factory in Tikrampur
Modhyapara area under the municipality and arrested a man in this connection
on Friday evening.
The arrested was Md Rubel Islam, 21, son of Md Akbar Ali of Chandlai
Jorbagan under Chapainawabganj municipality.
On a tip-off, an operation team of the RAB-5 from Chapainawabganj camp
conducted a raid in the area around 7.30 pm and nabbed Rubel from a rented
house.
The RAB members also recovered Indian fake currency of Rs 70,15,000,
Bangladeshi fake currency of Taka 3,00,000, currencies of India, the United
Arab Emirates, Qatar and Malaysia, two laptops, six printers, papers and
other equipments and materials used for printing the fake notes.
A case was filed against Rubel in this connection.
Later, he was handed over to the Chapainawabganj Sadar Thana Police.
