Vote for ‘Boat’ for progress: Former BCL President

RANGPUR, Sept 07, 2018 (BSS) – Former President of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) Mahmud Hasan Ripon today urged the people to vote for ‘Boat’, election symbol of Awami League, in the next general elections for continuation of national progress.

“Bangladesh has been recognised as a global model for progress following extensive developments in every sector during tenure of the present government under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina,” he said.

Ripon was addressing a workers’ rally organised by Muktinagar union units of Awami League (AL) and its associate bodies on Hat Bharatkhali Madrasha ground in Shaghata upazila of Gaibandha this afternoon as the chief guest.

President of Muktinagar union AL Nurul Islam presided over the rally moderated by its General Secretary Rafikul Islam.

Vice-president of Gaibandha district AL Anwarul Islam, President of its Shaghata union unit Vice Wares Ali Prodhan and General Secretary Advocate Shamsul Arefin Titu and Shaghata union Chairman Arshad Aziz Rokan addressed as special guests.

Ripon said the BNP-Jamaat clique and defeated anti-liberation forces of 1971 are hatching conspiracies to create anarchy again to hinder advancement of the country.
