SAYEM-DEATH-ANNIVERSARY
7th death anniversary of Nanak’s son observed
DHAKA, Sept 06, 2018 (BSS) – The 7th death anniversary of Sayem-ur Rahman Sayem, only son of Awami League (AL) Joint Secretary Jahangir Kabir Nanok, was observed today in the city in a befitting manner.
Marking the anniversary, the Sayem Memorial Foundation organized a discussion, Khatm-e-Quran, dua and milad mahfil at a community center in the city’s Mohammadpur area this afternoon, said a press release.
Addressing the discussion, father of Sayem, Jahangir Kabir Nanok sought blessings from all for his son, the release added.
Special prayer was offered on the occasion for the eternal peace of the departed soul of Sayem.
Cabinet members, MPs, political leaders, professionals and representatives of social and religious organizations joined the programme, among others.
Sayem died in a road accident on September 6 in 2011 in Cox’s Bazar.
