ARREST-JMB-BOGURA
5 JMB men held in Bogura
BOGURA, Sep 05, 2018 (BSS) – Five operatives, including two top regional
leaders, of banned militant outfit Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) were
arrested in Sherpur upazila of the district last night.
The operatives are identified as Shahidullah alias Masum, 41, Bulbul alias
Sohagh, 32, Atikur Rahman alias Soikat, 33, Mizanur Rahman, 35, and Masud
Rana, 31. Shahidullah and Shohag are the top leaders of JMB in Rajshahi and
Rangpur divisions.
Police Super of Bogura Ashraf Bhuiyan told at a press briefing in the town
this noon that on information a team comprising Detective Branch of police
and Police Headquarters Intelligence conducted a raid in Mirzapur area around
1:30 am and arrested them with two foreign-made pistols, two magazines, 10
rounds of bullet, 3 Burmese swords and a set of handcuff.
