DHAKA, Sep 4, 2018 (BSS) – Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD)
forecasts light to moderate rain or thundershowers throughout the country in
next 24 hours as of 9 am tomorrow.
“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty
wind is likely to occur at most places in Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and
Sylhet divisions and at a few places in Rajshahi, Rangpur, Dhaka and
Mymensingh divisions until early tomorrow,” said a met office press release
here this morning.
Moderately heavy to heavy falls may also take place at some places across
country during the period, the release added.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
The maximum temperature was recorded 34.5 degrees Celsius yesterday at
Ishurdi and Rajshahi in Rajshahi division while today’s minimum temperature
24.0 degrees Celsius at Tetulia in Rangpur division.
The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours as of 6 am today was recorded 81
mm at Sylhet, the release added.
The sun sets at 6:14 pm today and rises at 5:41 am tomorrow in the capital.
