Dipu Moni for practicing sports side by side with study
CHANDPUR, Sept 03, 2018 (BSS)-Former foreign minister and Awami League Joint-Secretary Dr. Dipu Moni today asked the youths to practice sports side by side with carrying out studies to groom themselves as worthy citizens.
Games and sports teach us to take up future leadership and provide cooperation to others, she said while inaugurating a football tournament as chief guest here.
Recalling the contributions of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, she said this tournament in memory of Bangabandhu would encourage the children and the players as well.
Under the auspices of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Upazila Administration organized the tournament at Baburhat School and College field.
Presided over by Chandpur Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Office Kaniz Fatema, the function was attended, among others, by Acting Deputy Commissioner Showkot Osman and Zila Awami League Vice-President Shahidullah Master.
