People live in peace when AL in power: Shahjahan Kamal
LAKSHMIPUR, Aug 02, 2018 (BSS) – Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister AKM Shahjahan Kamal today said that people of all religions live in peace and harmony whenever Awami League comes to the state power.
“Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has established religious harmony in the country by securing rights of the minority communities,” he told a function organized marking the Janmashtami, the birth celebration of Sri Krishna.
The minister attended the function at the Sree Sree Shamsudar Zuer Akhra Mondir in Lakshmipur district as chief guest.
District Commissioner (DC) Anjon Chandra Pal, Police Super ASM Mahatab Uddin, Zilla Awami League President Golam Faruk Pinku and General Secretary Advocate Nuruddin Chowdhury Noyon, among others, spoke on the occasion.
President of Lakshmipur Puja Udjapan Committee Shankar Mozumder presided over the function.
