DHAKA, Aug 31, 2018 (BSS) – Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD)
predicts light to moderate rain or thundershowers over country in next 24
hours as of 9 am tomorrow.
“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty
wind is likely to occur at many places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna,
Barishal, Chattogram, Sylhet and Mymensingh divisions with moderately heavy
to heavy falls at some places over the country,” a met office release said
today.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, it
added.
The highest temperature on Thursday was recorded by 35.5 degree Celsius at
Dinajpur and lowest temperature on Friday was recorded by 24.7 degree Celsius
at Teknaf in Chattogram division, Khepupara in Barishal division and Tetulia
in Rangpur division.
The highest rainfall for the last 24 hours till 6am today was recorded by
92 millimeters (mm) at Sandwip.
The sunsets at 6.18 pm today and rises at 5.40 am tomorrow in the capital.
