Bangabandhu’s killers try to bring back Pakistani ideology: Mosharraf

DHAKA, August 29, 2018 (BSS) – Housing and Public Works Minister Engineer
Mosharraf Hossain today said the killers of Bangabandhu had no belief in the
independence of Bangladesh as they tried to bring back Pakistani ideology
after Bangabandhu’s assassination.

“Anti-liberation forces were involved in the killing of Father of the
Nation Bangabandhu and after his murder, the killers tried to bring bank
Pakistani ideology to this country,” he said this while speaking as the chief
guest at a National Mourning Day programme here.

He said Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman strongly
believed that one having belief in the spirit of Bengali cannot kill him. So,
Bangabadhu preferred normal security for his residence, he said.

Mosharraf said Bangabandhu struggled throughout his life for achieving
freedom for Bengalis. So, it is very much true that if Bangabandhu was not
born, it was not possible to achieve independence of Bangladesh,” he added.

Chaired by Chief Engineer of Public Works Department M Rafiqul Islam the
programme was also addressed, among others, by Housing and Public Works
Secretary M Shahid Ullah Khandker, Vice-Chancellor of Jagannath University
Professor Dr Mizanur Rahman and Chief Architect Kazi Golam Nasir.
