BRAHMANBARIA, Aug 29, 2018 (BSS) – Three people were killed and 20 others injured in a road accident on the Dhaka-Sylhet Highway in Boishamura area under Sarail upazila of the district today.
The deceased were identified as Rubina Nur, 50, her daughter Sabina Nur, 32 and a seven-month old boy named Yasin, hailed from Sreemangal upazila in Maulvibazar district.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Khatihata Highway Thana Mohammad Hossain Sarker said the accident occurred when a passengers bus plunged into a roadside ditch in the area as its driver lost control over the steering, leaving three dead on the spot and injuring several others.
The wounded were admitted to Moulvibazar Sadar Hospital, the OC added.
A case was filed with the concerned thana in this connection.
