4.0-magnitude quake jolts northwestern Myanmar
YANGON, Aug. 28, 2018 (BSS/Xinhua) – A slight earthquake measuring 4.0
magnitude on the Richter scale Tuesday jolted Myanmar’s Sagaing region, said
a release from the meteorology and hydrology department.
The quake struck at 10:55:31 a.m. local time (042531 GMT).
Its epicenter was 19 kms northwest of Paungbyin township and 46.7 kms
southeast of Tamu seismological observatory in the region.
