4 JMB men held in C’nawabganj
CHAPAINAWABGANJ, August 28, 2018 (BSS): Members of Rapid Action
Battalion (RAB)-5 arrested four active members of the banned Islamic militant
outfit Jamaatul Mujahidin Bangladesh (JMB) from Dakkhinshahar area under
Chapainawabganj sadar upazila on Monday night.
RAB also recovered a pistol, a magazine, five rounds of bullet, 400
grams of gun powder and extremist books from their possession.
The arrested persons are Md Aktarul Islam, 46, son of Md Saifuddin
Mondol of Chowdala Ferryghat under Gomostapur upazila, Md Abdul Kader, 30,
son of Md Rustam Ali of Shankarmaida Trimohoni under Mobarakpur union, Md
Aminul Islam, 30, son of Md Atarul Islam of Shibnagar under Kansat union and
Md Abdur Rahman, 39, son of late Kubed Ali Mondol of Baluchar under Kansat
union in Shibganj upazila all of Chapainawabganj district.
RAB said, acting on a tip off, an operation team of RAB from
Chapainawabganj camp raided the area at around 11-30 pm as the JMB men were
holding a secret meeting and arrested them with the arms and ammunition.
